2019-2020 NCA Tour Points Model
Competitors earn ranking points at each NCA-sanctioned event throughout the Tour season, with their 4 best Competitive scores (3 in the Recreational division) accumulating to determine their Tour ranking.
In doubles events, both players in a team individually earn the full points for their respective finish.
This points model was used for the 2019-2020 season.
The points awarded for each tournament placement are determined by the Points Model below.

Tiebreaker Procedure
In the event of a tie in ranking points, the following procedure will be used to break remaining ties.
1) Most number of highest place finishes among the player's 4 best Tour finishes that make up their NCA Ranking
a. Most 1st place finishes among a player's 4 best Tour results places higher
b. If still tied, most 2nd place finishes among a player's 4 best Tour results places higher
c. If still tied, most 3rd place finishes among a player's 4 best Tour results places higher
d. If still tied, most 4th place finishes among a player's 4 best Tour results places higher
ect. until the tie is either broken, or the players have perfectly equal results and the procedure moves to Step 2
2) If still tied, the higher rank is awarded based on whichever player finishes higher at the NCA Finale event (typically the Ontario Singles Championship in St. Jacobs).
Players not in attendance at the NCA Finale will automatically receive a lower ranking that those at the event.
3) If still tied (resulting from tied player's not playing in the NCA Finale) the tie will remain unbroken in the final NCA Tour Rankings.
Other Notes
