Crokinole and The NCA

The game of Crokinole first came to prominence in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The game's simplicity and accessibility made it a popular choice for recreation, particularly in rural areas, where it became immensely popular throughout Canada and the Northern United States.

While the game became less known as time and technology advanced throughout the 1900s, interest remained just as strong in certain pockets. Into the 1990s and early 2000s, crokinole clubs and tournaments persisted within local communities, but often with little interaction or knowledge of crokinole action in other areas.

Forming in 2009, the NCA has had the vision to connect these previously isolated groups of crokinole enthusiasts, while also promoting the game to welcome new players.
Today the NCA continues to support the promotion of new and existing crokinole clubs, and organizes a series of crokinole tournaments called the NCA Tour.

Upcoming Crokinole Events

The next event on the NCA Tour calendar is the Forest City Flickers Tournament coming up on March 23rd in London, ON.
